About Our Physicians
HOWARD FREEDBERG, MD
Dr. Freedberg completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago. Additionally, he completed two fellowships: one in sports medicine at the prestigious Wellington Sports Medicine Center, and the other in reconstructive arthritis surgery at the acclaimed Bone and Joint Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio.
With over 20 years of orthopaedic experience, Dr. Freedberg is known as, “The Knee Expert.” Most recently, he developed an innovative ACL Reconstruction Technique; which is now being recognized and implemented, internationally. Beyond knees, Dr. Freedberg provides a complete range of orthopaedic surgical services. He is a nationally renowned, master instructor of arthroscopic surgery, and an instructor for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Freedberg lectures on his theories and techniques, on subjects such as knee and shoulder reconstruction.
Board Certified in Sports Medicine, Dr. Freedberg is a consulting physician to the Player’s Association for the NFL and the MLB. In addition to working with professional athletes he is the team physician for multiple area high schools including, Bartlett, Elk Grove, Conant and Addison Trail.
Dr. Freedberg believes that each patient deserves the utmost in service. He takes extra time to provide each patient with the individualized care they deserve.

THOMAS A. McNALLY, MD
Dr. McNally completed his Orthopaedic residency at the University of Chicago Hospitals. He is fellowship trained at Rush University Medical Center in comprehensive spinal care, the University of Chicago in minimally invasive spine procedures and Shriner’s Hospital for children in Chicago for pediatric spine and scoliosis management.
Dr. McNally is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic surgery. He is a member of the National Association of Spine Surgeons. Dr. McNally has lectured on various topics including minimally invasive surgeries, kyphoplasty and X-Stop.
Dr. McNally is an expert in comprehensive operative and non-operative spinal care. He utilizes a team approach to provide our patients with support for all aspects of their spine health management.

ANKUR CHHADIA, MD
Dr. Chhadia completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Subsequently, he completed a cutting edge Sports Medicine fellowship at Kaiser Permanente Orange County in Southern California. He is an active member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Chhadia specializes in: 1. Comprehensive arthroscopic and open surgery of the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, and ankle 2. Minimally invasive total and partial joint replacement of the hip, knee, and shoulder 3. General fracture and Orthopaedic trauma care 4. Sideline game coverage and training room care for local high school athletic departments
