Ryan is the Facility Manager for both our Bartlett and Elgin offices. He completed his undergraduate degree at Carthage College prior to receiving his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Finch University of Health Sciences / The Chicago Medical School (currently Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science). Ryan brings over 10 years of outpatient orthopedic experience to Suburban Physical Therapy.
Ryan has completed extensive training in adolescent and adult sports medicine, ACL injury prevention, McKenzie Institute, and Maitland Manual Therapy. Ryan is certified in performing Job Site Analyses, Functional Capacity Evaluations, and heads the Work Conditioning program at Suburban Physical Therapy. Ryan is committed to his profession, as he continues to expand his treatment techniques and expertise through continued education.
Ryan’s treatment philosophy emphasizes evidence-based manual and therapeutic exercise techniques that are tailored toward efficiently returning patients, athletes, and employees to their pre-injury status. Ryan is dedicated to providing personalized quality care in a positive friendly atmosphere.
Jason graduated from the University of Illinois in 2005 with a degree in Kinesiology and then moved onto the University of Illinois Chicago where he finished in 2008 with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Jason is currently the Site Supervisor for Physical Therapy at Suburban Orthopaedic’s Elgin Office.
Jason is a die-hard sports fan and knows how important it is for his patients to get back onto the playing field, whether that field be on the basketball court, pouring concrete, or caring for your home and children. He believes by using evidence based practice he can assist his patients in a quick and safe return to action. Jason looks forward to and strives towards continuously expanding his knowledge base on the ever changing and growing field of physical therapy.
Romeo O. Ceniza Jr., PT, received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Velez College in 2001. He has a wide range of experience working with sports related injuries and pre and postsurgical rehabilitation. Romeo advocates incorporating work simulated activities for those patients that have been injured at work. He assists in progresses work conditioning programs for patients to return to work safely and efficiently.
Romeo believes manual therapy involving a “hands on” approach and giving good quality care is essential in accelerating treatment and helping patients with their overall progress. Romeo is married to a physical therapist and has two wonderful children.
Sonal Gandhi graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Loyola University Chicago and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from University of Illinois at Chicago.
Sonal is committed to continuing her education, to help improve functional outcomes and quality of life for her patients. Some of her most recent courses include Pilates for PT, Neuromuscular and Orthopedic Rehab, and Functional Rehab. Sonal plans to further her education by taking extensive courses to become certified as a Women’s Health Specialist.
Aside from work, Sonal enjoys time with her husband and daughter, scrapbooking, and any outdoor activities.
Michele graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Masters of Physical Therapy degree from Gannon University in Pennsylvania in 2001. She has a variety of experience working in outpatient centers, treating patients with orthopedic injuries to those who have suffered from a stroke.
Michele is focused on providing her patients quality care while utilizing evidence based practice. She is dedicated to improving the quality of life of her patients by continuously learning new treatment techniques through continuing education. Michele enjoys spending time with her 3 children and husband on family outings and camping trips.
Lisa Ayotte graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2008 with a Masters of Physical Therapy degree. Lisa has diverse work experience working wit a variety of diagnoses that include: pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation, cerebral vascular accidents, multiple sclerosis, as well as sports related injuries.
Lisa believes strongly in a “patient first” philosophy, advocating for each patient’s personal goals and providing individualized treatment to achieve maximal functional outcomes. She addresses the goals of her patients by integrating “real life” simulated activities during treatment, allowing patients to not only see their progress but also to return to work and other recreational activities safely and efficiently. Her treatment methodology emphasizes use of evidence based manual and therapeutic exercise techniques that are individually tailoring to efficiently and effectively return patients, athletes, and employees to their pre-injury status. Lisa is dedicated to providing personalized quality of care in a positive and friendly atmosphere; all while making treatment sessions fun and enjoyable.
Lisa is committed to continuing her education, both to progress herself as a physical therapist and to improve the functional outcomes and quality of life for her patients. Lisa is a Certified Kinesiotaping Practitioner (CKTP) and is eager to assist patients in their individual rehabilitation process, while helping them achieve their personalized goals.
Katie completed the Physical Therapist Assistant program at the College of DuPage, receiving her Associates degree in 2006. She has since worked in outpatient orthopaedics for over six years, while treating a wide variety of patients, ranging from athletes to pre- and post-operative patients. In addition to her work as a Physical Therapist Assistant, Katie received her Associates degree in Personal Training from Elgin Community College in 2002. She has over 10 years experience as a Certified Personal Trainer, working predominantly with people transitioning from physical therapy to a personalized workout program.
Katie has completed further continuing education in orthopedic injuries, functional training, and rehabilitation, running/gait analysis, Pilates, strength training, core stability, and Kinesiotaping. In addition, Katie has taught a variety of classes including spine control, stretching, Pilates, and strength training.
Katie is committed to furthering her education with new exercises and treatment techniques, allowing the ability to rehabilitate patients the best way possible. Katie’s goal for each patient prior to their completion of care is to provide them with the knowledge and confidence to maintain healthy bodies and prevent further injury.
